SUMMARY:Intro to Using OMOP for IMPACT-MH
DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides a practical introduction to using the OMOP Common Data Model within the IMPACT-MH framework. Led by experts from the Data Coordinating Center (DCC)\, the session will walk through core OMOP concepts and focus on real-world implementation at participating sites. \n\n\n\nTopics covered include: \n\n\n\n\nOMOP concepts and implementation framework\n\n\n\nOverview of the 7 core OMOP tables\n\n\n\nOMOP setup basics\n\n\n\nETL process and key implementation steps\n\n\n\nEstimating implementation effort (based on skill level and experience)\n\n\n\nIMPACT-Y data demonstration (use case)\n\n\n\n\nWho should attend?Data managers\, software engineers\, and data scientists are especially encouraged to attend\, though the session is open to all interested participants. \n\n\n\nHosts / Instructors: \n\n\n\n\nNa Hong\, Instructor\, Data Coordinating Center (DCC)\n\n\n\nChris Gilman\, Senior Software Engineer\, Data Coordinating Center (DCC)\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop materials:Slides will be provided following the session. \n\n\n\nThis workshop will be recorded.

SUMMARY:Managing EHR Data: Duke-PMA
DESCRIPTION:Implementing a Standardized Research Data Model\n\n\n\nDuke-PMA EHR Data Standardization Session \n\n\n\nJoin Dr. Ben Goldstein (Professor\, Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics) and Nelda Bradley (Manager\, ACE Applied Data Science) from Duke-PMA for a discussion on EHR data standardization within the Duke-PMA project. \n\n\n\nSession Overview\n\n\n\nWith over 10 years of experience working with standardized EHR data\, Duke has supported both multisite and internal retrospective research efforts. This session will highlight the data model implementation process\, the tools used\, and key lessons learned to inform and accelerate future research initiatives. \n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\nBenjamin Alan Goldstein\, PhD\n\n\n\nProfessor of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics\, Duke UniversityDr. Goldstein also holds appointments in Pediatrics and Population Health Sciences and is a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute and the Division of Translational Biomedical Informatics. His research focuses on the meaningful use of EHR data at the intersection of biostatistics\, biomedical informatics\, machine learning\, and epidemiology\, collaborating with clinical and research teams locally and nationally. \n\n\n\nNelda Bradley\, MMCi\n\n\n\nManager\, ACE Applied Data Science\, Duke University Health SystemNelda leads applied data science initiatives and brings extensive experience in health IT management and cross-functional collaboration. She partners closely with clinical\, operational\, and research stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with organizational needs. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho should attend?Data managers\, software engineers\, and data scientists are especially encouraged to attend\, though the session is open to all interested participants. \n\n\n\nAdditional Information: \n\n\n\n\nWorkshop materials: Slides will be provided following the session.\n\n\n\nRecording: This workshop will be recorded.
